What We’ve Been Up To: Stories Worth Sharing
It’s been a wild and wonderful season here at Nick Alexander Films. From filming craft cocktails at Jefferson Spirits to traveling across Oregon for a statewide STEM documentary, and even hitting the Bar and Restaurant Expo in Las Vegas, our cameras have been busy. We’ve worked with incredible local partners, told stories that matter, and had a ton of fun along the way. Here’s a quick peek into what we’ve been up to lately, and a big thank you to everyone who’s been part of the journey.
Jefferson Spirits
We recently had the chance to film at one of our favorite local hangouts, Jefferson Spirits, and it was a blast. This shoot was part of a fun little experiment as we prepped for the Bar and Restaurant Expo, diving deeper into the world of hospitality and cocktail cinematography (yes, that’s a thing, and yes, we love it). Their cozy speakeasy vibe gave us the perfect setting to play with lighting, movement, and storytelling. Big thanks to the Jefferson Spirits crew for letting us crash the bar with our cameras. We had a great time, and we’re proud to keep telling great stories with great people.
STEM Hubs
We’ve been working on something big. Like, statewide big. Our latest project with Oregon’s STEM Hubs has taken us across 13 different regions to help tell one powerful and unified story about the impact of science, technology, engineering, and math in our communities. From classrooms to community partners to universities, we’ve been capturing how STEM education is shaping the next generation of innovators and job creators. It’s a massive collaboration, and we’re honored to help bring it to life through video. Projects like this remind us why we love what we do. Storytelling that travels, connects, and makes a difference.
True Lavender Collective
Our shoot with True Lavender Collective was all about creativity and speed. The challenge? Showcasing a wide variety of beautiful, handcrafted products in a short amount of time. The solution? Video, of course. We leaned into pre-production planning and tight storytelling to make every shot count. This project was a great reminder of how much can be communicated in just a few seconds when visuals and story come together. Huge shoutout to our team for pulling it off and to the amazing local makers who brought their talent and products to the shoot. It was fast-paced, fun, and totally worth it.
Bar & Restaurant Expo
We wrapped up an incredible trip to the Bar and Restaurant Expo, and it was everything we hoped for and more. Thousands of attendees, hundreds of exhibitors, and Nick Alexander Films right in the middle of it all. We had the chance to showcase what we do, connect with amazing people in the industry, and capture some great footage along the way. It was energizing to be surrounded by so much creativity and passion. Huge thanks to everyone we met out there. We’re already excited for what comes next.
